CONTINUOUS MICROFILTRATION SYSTEM
A continuous microfiltration system which allows to reduce the concentration of suspended solids present in the water.
Sensible to the requests of the market that is continuously in evolution, since 2002 TEKNOFANGHI successfully offers a system of continuous microfiltration for wastewater, called SCRUFILTER®. The SCRUFILTER® units can be used in many applications of microfiltration in order to reduce fine suspended solids. The reduction of suspended solids is accompanied by a reduction in COD, BOD5, phosphorus, nitrates and other substances. In the case of further treatment with UV for disinfection it is important to reduce the turbidity caused by suspended solids. The filter cloth is selected according to the requirements which can be 20 – 30 – 40 – 60 – 80 or 100 microns. On special request of the Customer, different filter mesh panels can be produced.

FILTRATION BY GRAVITY
The filtration is by gravity and is continuous, with negligible head loss. The backwashing is continuous, no external water is required. The unit has an integral overflow system for when the maximum flow-rate or solids concentration is exceeded. The system diverts the non-filtered overflow water into the solids discharge. In this way, the quality of the filtered water is maintained.
ENCLOSED BODY WITH INSPECTION PANELS
The filter is completely enclosed, so prevents aerosol and smell, and is fitted with inspection panels for simple and fast maintenance.
FILTER PLATES REPLACEMENT
SCRUFILTER® comprises of several filter plates. If one plate is damaged, it is only necessary to replace the specific one with the subsequent cost reduction. Filter plate replacements can be carried out without removing the drum from the main frame.
AUTOMATIC WASHING SYSTEM
The filter cloth is kept clean with an automatic washing system, using special TEKNOFANGHI designed spray nozzles, which use less water than other standard nozzles on the market. For rapid cleaning of the nozzles, they can be easily removed and cleaned, without using any tools.
